As one of the world's oldest forms of printmaking, woodcut and linocut images have always fascinated me.  I have always been attracted to the stark contrast of simple black and white images, (even though I colour a lot of mine)  I started doing them many years ago as Christmas cards for friends and family, and after that I began to make small images in very limited editions.  Experimenting with lino-cut printmaking has also greatly influenced the way I work as a painter.  Landscapes translate easily into simple lines and patterns.
